History

Holy Name of Jesus parish was founded on July 5, 1965, as the first English-speaking parish in Laval. Fr. John Colford had begun ministering to English-speaking Catholics in the area from 1962 out of St. Pie-X parish, and went on to serve Holy Name of Jesus for 41 years, until 2003. Since September 1, 2015 the parish has been served by the Carmelite Fathers (O.Carm).
