Paroisse Transfiguration of Our Lord

Historique

The parish of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, in Cartierville, was founded on November 30, 1961 by Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger, carved from three existing parishes, to serve the growing English-speaking Catholic community; Father Edward Penny was its first pastor. Land at the corner of Dudemaine and Filion streets was purchased in 1963, and the church was dedicated on October 10, 1965.
